Another Unexpected Treasure?
Well. It's been a loooong time. I've been so busy with life and homeschooling this blog has just been on a hold for a while.
But recently Steve took a short missions trip with a group of his high school students to a wonderful children's home in Beijing. His heart was touched with a precious little boy. When he called me and told me to look into adopting this little boy. (Yes, that's right, I said "boy"!) I almost couldn't believe my ears. Because Steve was done adopting. Done. Done. Not that he does not love every moment of being a dad to our precious five daughters. He just felt that he was too old to start over ago and that his hands were full. But God touched his heart.
Currently we are pursing a homestudy just to see what God will do. We did find out that the sweet boy we are hoping to adopt file is supposed to go to an agency in Italy. We are praying for a miracle. One miracle has alreay happened, and God changed Steve's heart. We don't know God's perfect will with this little one but we are stepping out in faith to see where God leads. With all my heart I hope it is God's will.
We need confirmation in our hearts, open doors and financial blessings. God can do it all if it's His will! But this we do know, "For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." and for the joy set before us we are beginning another unexpected journey. May it end with treasure.
