Three weeks home, one month gotcha!

Playing in a box. One of the greatest toys ever invented.
Cuddling in mommy's bed early in the morning with dolls,
pillows and blankets while their slow mommy gets ready.
Lily's getting no lack of love and attention here!

I can't believe Lily has been home three weeks and it's been over a month since she officially became our little girl. There is a verse that I know is going to be one of her life verses.... "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come." 2 Corinthians 5:17. Although our bonding still has a ways to go, we are amazed at the transformation that has taken place in this little girl's heart. She came to us angry, defensive, aggressive and with several meltdowns a day. But each day that passed she became a little less angry and we began to see her sweet spirit come out. When we arrived home the change began to show even more dramatically. By the third day home she would give me kisses constantly. What a way to melt a mommy's heart! She is bubbly, giggly, loves to bounce, sing, tickle, and scream squeal with laughter. One of her favorite things to do is point to our socks, wrinkle up her nose and say "chi wawa!!" (stinky socks). She thinks it's hilarious. Everyone is a victim, even if you're socks are freshly laundered!

We are so blessed!....oh there are still meltdowns, but they are averaging twice a week instead of twice a day! Thank you Lord for blessing us with another beautiful daughter!

I'll have to find some small size socks to send to her (with matching set for Maylie)...then she can joke about them, too! ♥

I've kept all of you in prayer (and will continue to do so) since the first sign, prior to your informing us, that Lily was "struggling"...God is indeed answering the mass of prayers and I'm so happy that day by day life is less challenging and more blessed with joy!

Your Dad/Grandpa and I can hardly wait to see all of you and meet Lily! ♥ (and for me to see Maylie again!)...and to see all five wonderful Granddaughters, too!

Sending More Love than imaginable from both of us! Thank you for keeping us all informed. Much Love to you and Steve, as well! Your hearts are so full of love and it is so obvious! ♥

♥ Love Always and forever, ♥
Step-Mom/Grandma Nannette ♥ ~*~
