Cookies for Lily... A LOT of Cookies!

52 sticks of butter
12 boxes of dark brown sugar
5 dozen eggs
10 lbs of sugar
13 bags of chocolate chips
plenty of salt
lots of baking soda
a large bottle of vanilla
25 pounds of flour

3 days
450 cookies!

My girls' tennis coach (and friend) likes our cookies so much that she wanted to order cookies for entire staff at the school she and my husband works for. One bag for each teacher, maintenance worker, and office staff. Now, the girls and I have baked a lot in the past. For several years we've baked cookies to fundraise for Maylie's adoption or for friends who have adopted. But never 38 dozen! And now......... I don't want to see a chocolate chip cookie for a very long time! But we are so thankful for this opportunity that the Lord brought our way. What a sweet way to help bring Lily home!

Total sold for Lily $450! (minus supplies)

My little helper with a bit of, um, chocolate on her lips. Don't worry we didn't let her lick the spoon or her fingers! (until we were all done!)

Yep. A LOT of cookies!

God provides in lots of ways! I made about 1000 cookies for each of our daughters' cookie tables at their weddings. I love sweets, but could hardly stand to even look at them after baking all of them in a week's time!
