We thought of you and we prayed for you. Our sweet daughter, a world away. You've missed so much. Three Valentine's Days have gone by in your short little life with you unaware. I can't wait until you are home and we can share our special family times together.
I can't wait to make John 3:16 hearts on red construction paper with you. We'll read about God's great love for you, giving His heart and His son Jesus for you.
I can't wait to read to you the account of St. Valentine and his sacrificial love for others and his Creator.
We'll also read about how Laura and Mary went to town with Pa. How Laura received a heart shaped confection that said "Sweets to the Sweet".
I can't wait to see you sitting on your daddy's lap and cuddling together watching a Disney Princess movie.
I can't wait till next year and you join your sisters and daddy for cinnamon rolls with pink frosting for Valentines Day breakfast.
I can't wait until your sisters and I can help you cut pretty pink, red and heart papers out to make Valentine cards with lots of glitter.
Your sisters can't wait to make heart shaped sugar cookies with you and decorate them with powdered sugar and pink frosting.
And when you're older to cuddle and sip tea with me and your sisters and watch a favorite Jane Austen movie.
I can't wait to read to you time proved poems of love from Tasha Tudor's All for Love.
You will see your daddy give your mommy a beautiful bouquet of flowers and see God's plan for marriage.
I love you dear one. I pray for you everyday, throughout the day. May the love of our Lord Jesus surround you, protect you, strengthen you, prepare you, encourage you and fill your heart.

Here's a few photos of some of the Valentines the girls created and cupcakes the girls and I made that were inspired by Hello Cupcake!

Sweet books for our four girls.

So sweet!! Can't wait to see Maylie home, receiving all the love that her family has to offer her! What a beautiful thing it will be!! I'm praying for you during this wait!
Hello Everyone!
What a beautiful post showing your love for your little girl who is a world away. This evening as I nursed Judah to sleep I thought of you all and how the wait was going.... I know that Maylie will be filled with so much wonder next year when she is with her forever family enjoying all that God has to offer her as a daughter in your family and in His family! May He comfort you all as you pray and wait for her and may He comfort her as she innocently goes through each day waiting for you to arrive. She is a blessed little girl to have a family like yours!
God Bless you all,
The Strang Family
Hello Lydia
I know that you have posted on our blog today and I wanted to leave a message on yours saying hello to you and your beautiful family!! I am very impressed with your lovely Valentines post. I did notice your tea cups and your love for Jane Austen! I think I would get along so well with you all. Have you ever been to England? My husband had to be introduced to all the Austen movies before I agreed to marry him!! He will never forget the first time he sat through Pride and Prejudice!
I will be praying for you also with this wait for PA. I know you have been waiting longer than us for this approval. I wonder if there is a chance we might travel together?
Blessings to you all....... I love that you have the same name as our Lydia!!
