Day 8 - Guangzhou

Today we visited the Chen Family Temple and met some very special friends. Maggie is a young woman who used to take Maylie on the weekends when Maylie lived at the orphanage. At the time there was a large group of children Maylie's age and Maggie and her friends would volunteer and take the children to their homes, to picnics at the park, outings to the zoo etc. They gave the children a glimpse of life and gave them love outside the orphanage walls. I know this helped Maylie in so many ways to know love and prepare her heart for a family and we are forever grateful. It's been three years since Maggie has seen Maylie in person and there were some tears. It was a very sweet reunion.

We had lunch near our hotel at a famous Thai restaurant
"The Banana Leaf". Mikyla and I loved the food but Steve felt
a bit queasy afterward.
