Day 5 in Nanchang

Friday was wet and raining. Our guide took us sightseeing to the Youmin Temple, a famous Buddhist temple in Nanchang. We weren't allowed to take photos inside. This is our guide, Jenny, lighting incense. Although she is not a Buddhist she said her mother always told her to respect the temple so hence the incense. I wish we could have taken photos. So much detailed artwork and history. We witnessed so many praying and leaving offerings. Our guide told us that many times people with the most money get to bid for the "best" prayer offerings to Buddha and will receive the "wish" that they desire . So thankful that we know the LIVING God, Jesus, who rose again, who loves us unconditionally. That we can make it to heaven by Jesus' sacrifice, not our works or money.

Waiting in the lobby for our guide to meet us with some paperwork.

Lily pie having a good 'ole time. (not!)

Great shot taken by Maylie. ...(Lily looks cute as a button with
that pouty face though!)

Good-bye to Nanchang, Jiangxi the province of Lily's birth.
With our guide "Jenny" right before we checked in for our flight
to Guangzhou.

It is always bittersweet leaving the birthplace of our little ones. It looks like you were able to get out and about and do some great sightseeing the last few days. The girls look so cute in their little matching outfits!

Hello Family:
Amen to Jesus! ♥ We all fall so short, no matter our status in life. Praise God Jesus that we have peace of mind! ♥

Maylie is so casual and comfortable with all that is going on. It seems like she is accepting and willing to do whatever needs to be done. That is such a blessing! And, I know that Mikyla is a great help. You and Steve can focus on helping Lily adjust. ...and I agree the pouty face is adorable! Of course, her smile is, too!

Continue prayers with Much Love,
Nannette ~*~
